Dive into two worlds of wonder and excitement. Begin with the freshwater exhibits housed in the River Journey building. Watch river otters playing in a cove forest. An alligator and giant snapping turtle will thrill in a delta swamp. Gaze in awe at fantastic seahorses and seadragons.
The adventure continues in the Ocean Journey building. Explore the chilly world of Penguins Rock, the home of amazing gentoo and macaroni penguins. Big toothy sharks and thousands of colorful reef fish swirl all around an impressive reef. Delight as a multitude of beautiful butterflies flutter throughout a tropical garden. Reach out and touch a shark or ray. Get up close to wonders of nature above and below the water. Experience two aquariums in one great city - Chattanooga.

Fish Person Point Of View: A snack-y training sess' with our big Green Sea Turtle Stewy!
Join us for a first-person (fish) view of a training session with our enormous Green Sea Turtle, Stewy!
Curious what's going on? Our veterinary assistant manipulates Stewy's flippers to evaluate their appearance, check for injuries and ensure they can move normally. The frequent head and shell rubs are to help desensitize Stewy to touch, and they ensure he doesn’t have any issues or injuries on those parts of his body as well.
The newest addition to this routine are jaw holds, which allow our vet to examine his eyes and beak!

Just had one land in my yard about 30’ from me last night. I’ve noticed the more time I spend outside, the closer they get. Hoping for a close-up soon. But not too close. 😳

Great Arrangements, God Bless you 😊
I’d like to encourage people to respect nature from a distance without interfering with the animals. Teach respect. Take care of nature and it’ll take care of you.
Interacting with sea turtles seems like it would be the best job ever
I rescued mine stuck at work he's a lil monster 😂
super cool
So is this what happens when aquariums first open their exhibits?
How long do you bump up the temps for and do you target a specific range to induce breeding?
Hello! Sorry for the delayed reply. Our expert was on a long weekend! Here's what she had to say: "We decreased the temperature from September to January and increased it from February to April by about 2 degrees every three weeks, on average. The low point was 56 degrees and the high was 68 degrees. Those are just numbers we felt were close enough to how cold/warm a real stream would be during those times of year."
They can survive anywhere as long as a water source is near by .
Yo
What specific breed or species if any is this particular one?
Wtfff
Go otters! 🦦💙
What dumb animals. He cannot even eat grubs without missing.

For transportation, to show in the video. There are pretty obvious answers to your WHYYY? question if you're not an obtuse moron.

Got one of these a few months ago. He recognizes me and knows I feed him so he runs right up to the closest corner and waits for crickets.
If the spikes aren’t venomous, is there another way that they inject venom? Or is it a different species?
